How can we help?
Frequently asked questions
- Does QTrip work offline?
- Yes. Your trips, itinerary, journals, and photo memoir all work without a network connection. Everything is stored on your device.
- Why does QTrip ask for photo access?
- To automatically organize your trip photos into a memoir (matched to places by time and the photo's embedded location) and to let you attach photos to itinerary items. Photos are read on your device and are not uploaded unless you choose to share a trip.
- I only granted access to selected photos.
- QTrip works with limited access — use the in-app picker to choose photos, and it re-indexes automatically. To change the selection on iOS 26, open Settings › QTrip › Photos.
- Which map links can I paste?
- Google Maps and Naver Map links. QTrip extracts the place name, address, phone, website, coordinates, and category.
- How are photos matched to places?
- By the photo's capture time and embedded GPS location (within about 500m of an itinerary stop). No live location tracking is used.
- Can I share a trip with others?
- Trip sharing is opt-in. When you share, the itinerary, journals, and shared photos sync via our server so invited members can view and contribute. If you never share, nothing leaves your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.
- Can I export my trip?
- Yes — export your memoir as a PDF or image set, or back up your itinerary as JSON (full) or Markdown (privacy-conscious, no coordinates).
- Where is my data stored?
- On your device, in a local database. Shared trips also store synced data on our server (Cloudflare); see the Privacy Policy.
- How do I delete my data?
- Delete a trip in the app to remove it locally. For a shared trip, leaving it removes your access; contact us to request removal of shared-trip data from the server.
Troubleshooting
- The app shows a database error on launch. Tap Retry; if it persists, restart the app.
- Photos didn't match to my itinerary. Make sure the photos have location data and were taken during the trip dates, then regenerate the memoir.
